Temperatures to drop, showers expected in some regions

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will slightly drop to become around average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The skies will be partly cloudy to rainy, and the rainfall will be accompanied by thunder over the coastal and al-Jazeera regions, according to the Meteorology Department.

The wind will be southwesterly with a moderate speed and some active gusts whose speed exceeds 55km/h, while, it will be easterly to southeasterly in the northern, eastern and al-Jazeera regions, and the sea waves will be medium to high in amplitude

The expected temperatures in some Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14/5, Daraa 15/5, Homs 13/5, Hasaka 15/8, Tartous 19/16, Aleppo 15/5, Deir Ezzor 16/6
