Damascus, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday congratulated the Armenian Orthodox denomination on the occasion of Christmas, the birth of Christ, Messenger of love and peace.
Delegated by President al-Assad, Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam offered the congratulations to Bishop Armash Nalbandian of the Armenian Orthodox Church Diocese of Damascus.
For his part, Nalbandian thanked President al-Assad for this kind gesture, praying to God to protect Syria, its people and army and to bless President al-Assad, hoping the new year would bring all the good for the Syrian people who are facing the unjust economic blockade.
