Syrian,Indonesian talks to enhance cooperation in energy field

Jakarta, SANA-Chargé d’Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Indonesia, Abdul Moneim Annan, discussed on Friday with Director of the Indonesian Engineering Company of Jaya Langit, which is specialized in energy affairs, Mottakian Marzouki, means of cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy.

During the meeting, which took place at the chancery of the Syrian embassy in Jakarta, Annan said that the idea of framing cooperation with formal agreements between the two sides was previously presented and a specific program for regular meetings would contribute to strengthening cooperation, He affirmed that Syria is keen to boost its relations and position in various fields with other countries, including Indonesia.

He added that after the terrorist war on Syria, many oil and gas fields came under the control of the US occupation and terrorist organizations, while other fields came under huge damage that led them to be put of service, in addition to the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria, which affected the energy sector in particular.

In turn,director and of members of Langit Company said that the aim of the meeting was to discuss prospects of cooperation between the two sides, particularly, in the field of supplying and maintaining oil and gas equipment and spare parts, pointing out to the Possibility of providing services to Syria in the field of spare parts through the re-engineering technology.
