83 new Covid-19 cases, 5 deaths reported in Syria

Damascus, SANA- 83 new coronavirus cases, 97 recoveries and 5 deaths were reported in Syria on Sunday, according to the Health Ministry

A statement by the Ministry showed that the total number of infections registered in the country has reached up to 49,272, of which 30,473 have recovered while 2,814 have passed away.

On March 22^nd last year, the first coronavirus case was reported in Syria in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality was recorded on the 29^th of the same month.
