Syrian call to stop plundering Syrian natural resources on Human Rights Day

Damascus, SANA-  Marking the anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Syrian Association of the UN called upon the international community to implement its obligations in guaranteeing the right of the peoples to practice their right of self-determination, to deal with their resources freely and to limit the violations of plundering the Syrian natural resources, mainly oil.

The association also stressed, in a statement,  the importance of the work to implement the commitment to the two International Covenants related to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights issued on 10 December 1948, that are the international covenant on the economic, social and cultural rights and the other covenant on the civil and political rights.

The association point out the flagrant violation of the second paragraph of the Article 1, when a president of major state declares that he took the Syrian oil and sold it while the whole world is watching, as well as the world is still watching the continued plundering of the Syrian natural resources, including oil.

The US occupation forces continue to loot the Syrian oil from the Syrian al-Jazeera through carrying it in tanks to the Iraqi lands via the illegitimate al-Waleed border crossing.
