Prague, SANA – Member of the committee of dialogue among religions in the Czech Republic, Peter Markvart, called for exerting more pressure on the European politics and bodies for the immediate termination of the sanctions
unjustly imposed on Syria.
In a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague, Markvart hoped that the Syrian people, army and leadership achieve more victories in the course of putting an end to the terrorist acts in Syria and as far as the
reconstruction process is concerned.
He pointed out that President Bashar al-Assad’s recent interview with the Czech paper Literarni Noviny has received wide interest across the Czech Republic.
Markvart said what caught his attention in the interview was the optimism which President al-Assad showed with regard to the reconstruction of the
terrorism-damaged facilities in the country.
