Damascus, SANA- In support of children with cancer, a charity marathon titled “We Want to Run for BASMA” was launched on Friday from Damascus-based Sheraton Hotel.
The participants crossed 5 kilometers, setting off from Sheraton hotel towards al-Rabwah road along the way to the Children hospital, touring al-Mwasat square to Mazzeh highway and Umayyad square to end the race at the Sheraton as the participants joined in an artistic concert and entertainment activities at the hotel.
The marathon is organized by BASMA Association “Support Children with Cancer” to raise funds for children with cancer.
”Children with cancer are everyone’s responsibility and we can all contribute,” BASMA association said in a statement.
