Moscow, SANA- Russia’s production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) is expected to reach 140 million tons per year by the year 2035, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced.
“We continue to work to diversify the supply of natural gas, including LNG, and we expect production to reach 140 million tons per year by the year 2035,” Putin said during the plenary session of the Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.
Analysts, in a previous report, attributed the rise in record gas prices in Europe to the growth taking place, which leads to steady demand for natural gas amid low occupancy of European storage facilities.
