New York, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad, discussed with his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar means of developing bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields.
The Indian minister affirmed his country’s willingness to boost economic cooperation with Syria and providing every possible assistance to Syria to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.
He underlined India’s firm commitment to respecting Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity and its support for Syria in the fight against terrorism.
For his part, Minister Mikdad expressed Syria’s appreciation for India’s stance in support of Syria and the assistance it provided, saying that Syria gives great importance to develop relations with India.
The two ministers exchanged viewpoints on some developments on the regional and international arenas and the need to maintain the continuity of consultation and coordination between the two sides.
