Reestablishment of the Syrian-Brazilian Businessmen Council discussed

Damascus, SANA- The reestablishment and activation of the Syrian-Brazilian Businessmen Council and encouraging businessmen in the two countries to establish investment and trade partnerships and increase the volume of trade exchange were the most important points of discussion during a meeting between Chairman of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Mohammad Abu al-Huda al-Lahham with Brazilian Ambassador in Damascus Fabio Vaz Pitaluga at the building of Damascus Chamber of Commerce.

Al-Lahham called on Brazilian companies to contribute to the reconstruction process of Syria and to benefit from the facilitations of the Investment Law No. 18 of 2021 for foreign investors.

He highlighted the need for Syrian and Brazilian companies to participate in the exhibitions held in the two countries, hailing the role of the large Syrian community in Brazil in activating and expanding trade exchange between the two countries.

For his part, Ambassador Pitaluga stressed the importance of reactivating the Syrian-Brazilian Businessmen Council, which was effective before 2010, and the value of trade exchanges between the two countries at that time reached very large sums.

The Ambassador called on Syrian companies to participate in the São Paulo Food Fair, to be held in the coming period, which is one of the most important exhibitions of foodstuffs in the world.
