Venezuelan President in Iran to develop bilateral relations and OPEC work

Tehran, SANA – Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has stressed, upon arrival in Iran, that he would hold talks with Iranian officials over activating the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) work and the crisis of oil decreasing prices at the world markets.

Both Iran and Venezuela are member states of OPEC which was found in 1960.

Activating relations and cooperation among OPEC states would help in strengthening its stances in the international market which would lead to improving oil prices, Maduro added in a statement.

The Venezuelan President pointed out that his visit to Iran, also, aims at developing bilateral relations between Tehran and Caracas.

Maduro is accompanied by a senior delegation including ministers of Foreign affairs, Finance and Economy, as well as the central bank governor.
