Aleppo, SANA – Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan Olabi discussed on Friday with field coordinator of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office in Syria Assem al-Isawi the state of relief and humanitarian work and cooperation and coordination efforts.
Olabi underlined the vital role played by international humanitarian organizations, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), and civil societies in helping families affected by terrorism, asserting readiness to provide them with all necessary support and providing aid to citizens.
He stressed the need to focus and programs and plans that produce income for affected and displaced families.
In turn, al-Isawi said that SARC is the primary partner of the ICRC in its humanitarian efforts, thanking the Syrian government and Aleppo Governorate for the facilitations and support they provide.
He noted that the ICRC plan for 2015 is extensive and has the largest budget in comparison to plans in other countries, and that it will focus on manufacturing and providing prosthetics.
