Tehran, SANA-Syria’s grand Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun said Thursday Syria enjoys proximity among the Islamic doctrines and even among the followers of the heavenly religions, affirming “this is natural in Syria.”
Mufti Hassoun, chairing a meeting for the General Assembly of the World Forum for Proximity among the Islamic doctrines, on the sidelines of the Islamic Unity Conference, said “we see that among the means of restoring peace to Syria is the existence of commission of scholars that works through wisdom to contain sedition which took place in the country.”
Hassoun and members of the assembly approved the topics put on the agenda of the meeting that included “challenges on the Islamic Unity”, “the role of scholars in the face of difficulties” and other topics.
