Damascus, SANA- Nearly ten years have passed over the explosion of the headquarter of al-Ikhbariya TV channel by terrorists in Drousha area in Damascus countryside ,which bear pain and sad for journalists, and carry pride for families of martyrs as well and reflect coward and ethical decline of the terrorists who tried to silence the sound of the channel.
The response to that terrorist crime against al-Ikhbariya in 2012 lasted no more than 30 minutes according to the Director of the channel, Moatasem Issa, who said in a statement to SANA that this reply was through live broadcast return, the issue that indicates that the national media performs its duty in all circumstances as it is fully aware that this task is mixed with the national duty and the professional media.
Information Minister, Imad Sara, in a telephone call with al-Ikhbariya, said the target behind bombing the channel was not the building or the equipment existed, but the Syrian citizen, the misleading, confusion of information and false news which had been broadcasted against Syria and Syrian Arab Army, so the target was to affect national stance of the citizen.
