Damascus, SANA-Minister of Industry, Ziad Sabbagh and Iraqi Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Aziz al-Khabbaz, signed on Monday minutes of the meetings of the Syrian and Iraqi sides at the conclusion of the Iraqi industrial delegation’s six-day visit to Syria.
Minister Sabbagh hoped that the visit of the Iraqi delegation would be a turning point for future cooperation and build partnerships between the two countries in the industrial and economic fields.
In a statement to press, Minister Sabbagh said that the visit of the Iraqi delegation, which came after the years of war that affected the two countries, included many meetings to the lay the cornerstone for launching joint industrial work to exchange experiences and establish a joint industrial work in the coming days.
For his part, the Iraqi minister affirmed the importance of the visit in setting the outlines for future cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and economic fields.
He pointed out to the role of the private sector in upgrading the industrial sector in the two countries to enhance partnership and integration between two countries through exchanging experiences, training, management and marketing, and working to form a joint industrial zone that can compete with products of the region countries.
