Health Ministry: 44 new coronavirus cases recorded, 8 patients recover, 6 pass away

Damascus, SANA-The Health Ministry on Tuesday announced that 44 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria, adding that 8 coronavirus patients recovered and 6 others passed away.

In a statement, the Ministry added that the total number of the coronavirus cases recorded in Syria till now has reached up to 24,904, of which 21,690 have recovered, while 1,821 have passed away.

The first coronavirus case was recorded in Syria on March 22^nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first death was registered on the 29^th of the same month.
