People’s Assembly receives ten notifications on new applications to running for President

Damascus, SANA- People’s Assembly Speaker, Hammoudeh Sabbagh, announced that the People’s Assembly received on Wednesday ten notifications from the Supreme Constitutional Court that Ahmad Ghaiyath Mohammad Shafiq Saidawi, Talea Saleh Naser , Bashir Mohammad al-Balah, Khaled Issa al-Issa , Fayez Kamal Jeha , Wissam al-Din Abdul Rahman Othman ,Muhammad Habib Arous ,Jabr Mahmoud Khalouf , Moein Ahmed Ibrahim and Hassan Rabih Al-Ruwaili submitted applications to run for president, raising the total number of the submitted applications up to 51 till now.

On April 18th, Speaker of the People’s Assembly announced the commencement of candidacy for Presidential elections as of Monday April 19th till April 28th.
