Temperatures to drop, cloudy weather over coastal, northern regions

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures tend to drop in the western and southern regions to be around average while they will remain above average in the eastern, al-Jazeera and al-Badia regions as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that weather will be cloudy to partly cloudy in general, turning into cloudy in the coastal and northern regions, with a little opportunity for showers over those areas.

The wind will be southwesterly moderate to active gusts over the coastal, central and southern regions, with a speed over 55 km per hour, and the sea waves will be medium to high in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 20/5, Aleppo 19/6, Homs 18/7, Tartous 18/14 Hama   19/7, Lattakia   18/14.
