20 resident doctors start work in Deir Ezzor hospitals

Deir Ezzor, SANA- 20 Resident Doctors from various medical specialties started their work in Deir Ezzor hospitals gathering.

The doctors who were sent by the Health Ministry and the Higher education and Scientific Research Ministry in Damascus will work for refilling the shortage in its medical cadres and providing medical services to the locals.

Director of Deir Ezzor Health Department Dr. Bashar Shua’ibi told SANA reporter in a statement that the first batch of residents started their work in the hospitals gathering which includes the General Authorities of al-Assad, al-Furat, the Children and Obstetrics Hospitals, and provides medical services to the locals in Deir Ezzor city and its countryside.

Dr. Shua’ibi pointed out that the doctors have constituted large addition to the health services due to the need of the province for doctors from various specialties.

The locals of Deir Ezzor hailed the government’s step which contributes in improving the health condition in the hospital.

The Cabinet approved, mid of February, to send 20 resident doctors from all specialties every month from the Health and Higher Education Ministries to Deir Ezzor province to provide it with medical services after the city of Deir Ezzor has restored security more than three years ago, and its heath sector has started to gradually recover as the terrorist war and the siege led to sever shortage in the health cadres in the province.
