Tehran, SANA- Syrian Architect, Mohammad Salah El-Din Shayyah, has received a certificate of appreciation for winning the first place after achieving the highest university average during the years of academic attainment, and for being the best foreign student studying at the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) after passing the comprehensive specialized examination at the PhD stage.
In an interview with SANA, Shayyah said that he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at Aleppo University in 2009, and he obtained a master’s degree in building energy management in 2011 before traveling to complete his PhD study in Iran within an educational process that includes several stages, as he completed the first stage which is related to the methodology of research and he qualified for the second stage, which is the stage of the comprehensive preparatory examination, as he completed it with an excellent average.
He added that the university recently honored him as the best foreign PhD student during a ceremony for honoring outstanding students, and he will pursue his PhD until the year 2023.
Shayyah hailed the efforts exerted by Syrian youths in the domain of scientific research and their determination to serve their homeland through the sciences and disciplines which they have obtained.
It is noteworthy that Eng. al-Shayyah was born in Aleppo in 1987 and worked as a lecturer at the Faculties of Architecture at the University of Aleppo and al-Etihad Private University (IPU), in addition to teaching at the Engineering Technical Institute at Aleppo University.
