Lattakia, SANA- Director-General of Ports, Brigadier General Ammar Makhlouf, affirmed that all seaports are operating as usual despite of the prevailing weather conditions.
Makhlouf said in a statement to SANA reporter on Wednesday that the weather conditions due to the current low air pressure do not require the closure of any of the ports, including the ports of Lattakia and Tartous, the oil downstream in Banias port, and the fishing and picnic ports.
Makhlouf indicated that the wind speed is normal, and no damages have been recorded due to the prevailing weather conditions.
The country is affected by a polar low air pressure accompanied by a very cold and wet air mass.
