Hama, SANA-Minister of Higher Education Amer Mardini said Tuesday the inauguration of Hama University is considered a turning-point in Syria as it will be a basic part in the higher education system in the presence of prominent faculties; mainly dentistry and veterinary.
Mardini, attending the first meeting of Hama university council, added that the inauguration of this university has contributed to raising the quality of higher education in Syria, particularly in light of the current conditions.
He affirmed that the Ministry will offer financial and administrative support to promote the educational and learning level in Hama, particularly establishing a modern hospital to provide all requirements for the medical faculties.
For his part, Hama University rector Azam al-Kurdi said the University includes 13 faculties and 5 institutes and brings together more than 15 thousand students from different specializations.
