Lebanon: An explosion in gas cylinders’ depot in al -Qasr area on Syrian-Lebanese borders, casualties reported

Beirut, SANA- A huge explosion took place in a depot of gas and diesel in the Lebanese al Qasr area on the borders with Syria, causing huge material damage and injuring.

Lebanese local media said that the explosion caused a huge bang and extended flames 10 meters high.

In Homs, Abd al-Razzaq Abd al-Nabi, head of Burhaniya municipality in Al Qusayr area in the southwestern countryside told SANA reporter that an explosion took place in a fuel depot in Lebanese al Qasr area, near Mutrebeh village.

Abd al-Razzaq said that the blast took place in a fuel and gas cylinders shop, causing great material damage and injury five citizens who were rescued by the Lebanese ambulance teams, pointing out that the Lebanese firefighting teams extinguished the fire.
