Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become slightly below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by a cold and wet air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.
Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy in most regions and the rainfalls will be heavy and accompanied by thunder sometimes while snow will fall over the high mountains.
The wind will be southwesterly in the southern region while it will become northeasterly with a low to moderate speed in the other regions, and it will become active over the coastal mountains, and the sea waves will be low in height.
Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in a number of Syrian provinces as follows: Damascus Countryside 51 mm, Sweida 35 mm, Quneitra 33mm, Hama 20 mm, Tartous 35 mm and Idleb 10 mm.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 13/9, Daraa 13/9, Homs 14/9, Lattakia 17/13, Aleppo 13/9 and Deir Ezzor 15/9.
