Damascus, SANA- The paintings of Fida Mansour’s plastic exhibition entitled (Memory) portrayed the people’s lives in the past in the countryside of the Syrian coast and presented several humanitarian topics.
The exhibition hosted by Adonia Gallery included 24 oil paintings of various sizes with an expressive style.
“During coronavirus quarantine time, I drew several paintings about the heritage of the coastal countryside, and although I thought to postpone the exhibition, but the abundance of production and my desire to brief the public about these works prompted me to organize it, artist Mansour told SANA.
He added that the Syrian artists have proven their ability to work, produce and present beauty despite the difficult circumstances and managed to convey their creative message to the world.
Artist Fida Mansour, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Damascus in 1999, holds a postgraduate diploma in the Department of Oil Painting.
He has many participations and solo exhibitions and has won several awards. He is a teacher at the Institute of Fine and Applied Arts and has created an artistic mural entitled The Silk Road on the wall of the Chinese embassy in Damascus.
