Damascus, SANA-Health Ministry announced on Wednesday that 52 new coronavirus cases were registered in Syria, adding that 40 patients have recovered while 3 others have passed away.
In a statement to SANA, the ministry indicated that the total number of coronavirus infections registered in the country till now has reached at 5580, out of which 1861 ones have recovered while 278 others have passed away.
The first coronavirus case was registered in the country on March 22nd while the first mortality was reported a week later.
