Yerevan, Baku, SANA-Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed a new “humanitarian truce” in Nagorno-Karabakh region started on Sunday midnight.
RT website quoted Arminian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement on Saturday that “This decision was taken following the joint statement on 1st of October by Presidents Vladimir Putin, Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron of Russian Federation, United States of America and French Republic respectively, and the statement by Minsk Group of Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and Moscow Statement.
In a similar statement, the Azeri Foreign Ministry affirmed that a humanitarian truce was reached.
In a relevant context, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reiterated, during a telephone calls with his Azeri counterpart, Gihon Bayramov, and Armenian counterpart Zograb Mnatsakyanian, his country’s stance calling for abiding by the ceasefire in disputed Nagorny Karabakh region.
The situation in Nagorny Karabakh region have witnessed sudden military escalation on September 27th as the two sides exchanged accusations on reasons of this escalation.
