Damascus, SANA-Temperatures will remain above average as the country is affected by superficial low air pressure from the southeast accompanied by western air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be relatively hot and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general, with little chance of showers over the coastal mountains.
Meanwhile, at night, the weather will be relatively cold, especially over the mountains, and fog is expected in the early morning in al-Qalamoun, the inland region, and over the mountains.
The wind will be westerly to northwesterly with a low to a moderate speed, and the sea waves will be low in height.
The expected temperatures in some major cities will be as the follows: Damascus 15/30 Daraa 15/30, Homs 16/29, Hasaka 12/35, Tartous 22/30, Deir Ezzor 17/35, Aleppo 15/31.
