Geneva, SANA -The United Nations’ High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, warned of escalating the violations of human rights perpetrated by Turkish regime forces and terrorist organizations affiliated to them in areas they occupy in the north of Syria.
Bachelet said in a statement posted on website of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights “OHCRH” that there is a worrying pattern of grave violations which prevailed during the latest months in the mentioned areas including Efren, Ras al-Ayn and Tal Abyad where acts of killing, kidnapping and illegal movement of persons and confiscating lands and properties and coercive evacuation have been documented.
She indicated that among the victims were persons who criticized the practices of the Turkish-regime terrorist organizations, in addition to some rich people to get a ransom from them.
Bachelet went on to say that the infighting among the terrorist organizations to share the areas of influence regardless of the safety of the local residents still cause civilian casualties and destroy the infrastructure, affirming those organizations have seized the civilians’ houses, lands and other private and commercial properties.
She pointed out to reports about taking some detained and kidnapped persons to Turkey, after they were arrested by Turkish regime – backed armed groups in Syria.
Bachelet indicated that the terrorist organizations which control Allouk water station in Ras al-Ayn and the surrounding areas, have repeatedly cut off water, affecting nearly one million person in Hasaka.
