Coronavirus death toll surpasses 688,000 worldwide

Capitals, SANA –Coronavirus (COVID-19) has caused the death of more than 688,000 persons around the world since it appearance last December.

Worldometer website which conducts statistics on the infections and deaths of coronavirus around the world announced on Sunday that the total number of deaths of Coronavirus around the world has reached 688,974 while the total number of Coronavirus cases reached up to 18,026,297people and the recoveries amounted to 11,334,686.

In Brazil, 45,392 new Coronavirus cases were registered, in addition to 1,088 deaths in the past 24 hours to raise the total number of infections to 2,707,877 while deaths to 93,563.

In Mexico, Health Ministry announced that 9,556 new cases have been detected and 789 patients have passed away bringing the total number of infections to 434,193 while the deaths toll reached up to 47,472.

Meanwhile in china, the National Health Committee announced that it received reports about 49 new confirmed cases with Coronavirus in the Chinese mainland on Saturday.

The Indian Health Ministry announced that the total number of Coronavirus cases has surpassed 1.7 million cases where more than 200 new cases were detected in different areas across the country over the last four days.

 The ministry announced that 853 new deaths have been registered due to the virus to as the deaths toll amounted to 37,364 in addition to 54,735 new Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours all over the country.

In south Africa, Health Ministry announced that the number of confirmed cases exceed half a million after registering 10,107 new confirmed cases to bring the total number of infections to 503,558 ones while the deaths toll reached up to 8,153.

 Meanwhile, Colombia announced that 10,673 new cases have been recorded to raise the total number of infections to 306,181 while 10,330 people have died in the country till now, of which 225 have passed away in the past 24 hours.
