Tartous, SANA-The fire brigade members extinguished three fires in Tartous province areas and the damages were limited to materials.
The commander of Tartous Fire Brigade, Colonel Samir Shamma, said in a statement to SANA reporter that” one fire erupted in a group of old tires opposite Al-Basel Hospital in Tartous city while the other two ones were set to herbs in the agricultural lands of a village of Marakia village and on AL-MUNTAR route.
For reducing fires and taking care of public property, particularly under the rising of temperatures, Shamma called on citizens to not set fires near the lands of herbs and the need to make sure it is completely put off before leaving the site and do not clean agricultural land from herbs by burning randomly.
He pointed out that during the last week, the brigade members dealt with 53 fires of which 45 were herbs ,4 were wastes and 2 houses fires, 1 electric fire and one forest.
