Damascus, SANA- Transport Ministry announced on Monday that the Syrian Airlines will run a flight to evacuate Syrian citizens from Erbil city in Iraq during the next coming days.
The ministry said in statement to SANA that a flight will carry 250 Syrian citizens who had been stranded in Erbil to Damascus International Airport, calling upon citizens who wish to return to go to the Syrian flight office in Erbil, adding that it will announce the flight time when the required procedures are completed.
The Ministry has run two flights to carry 500 Syrian students stranded in India, the first one was on 21 of June and the second flight was on July 2nd in the framework of the government’s efforts to get the stranded Syrians abroad back due to spread of Coronavirus pandemic.
On May 4th, Syrian airlines started to run flights to evacuate Syrian citizens who wish to return from world countries according to lists which were registered via Foreign and Expatriates Ministry at embassies and diplomatic missions.
