“Qasad” groups impede delivery of flour to al-Baath bread facility in Qamishli

Hasaka, SANA- The US-backed Qasad “SDF” groups continue their arbitrary practices against the locals as they impeded the delivery of bread to al-Baath bread facility in al-Qamishli City in Hasaka countryside on Sunday causing a bread crisis.

Director of the Syrian Grain Establishment- Daraa Branch Eng. Obadiah Ali affirmed in a statement to SANA that Qasad groups blocked the delivery of flour and prevented the trucks affiliated to the establishment from delivering flour to al-Baath bread facility which is considered the main bread facility to provide bread to the locals in the city.

Ali indicated that Qasad practices have caused a large shortage in the flour delivered to the bread facility which caused a crisis on bread.

For his part, Director of al-Baath Bread Facility Sattam al-Mahmoud said that the facility’s allocations amount to 18 tons of flour per day and with the operation of the third production line early this month, the allocations were increased to reach 21 tons per day to meet the growing demand for bread, but the practices of “Qasad” groups impede the arrival of supplies, which caused a crisis on the material.

Over the past few days, Qasad groups which are backed by the US occupation forces have stolen 45 tons of flour from Hasaka mill.
