Damascus, SANA-Damascus History Foundation signed an agreement with Wikipedia to improve the digital content related to the history of the Damascus city on the Arabic global Wikipedia.
According to a statement published by the Damascus History Foundation on its website, it will make a historical review to any content about the city on the Wikipedia site and correct all error in it and provide the site administrators with historical information about events and Damascene characters, and sealed each material presented or reviewed by the Foundation with its logo and the phrase “documented this text by the Damascus History Foundation .”
The Foundation will later display a project page on its website that includes a full catalog of articles and researches that have been published or reviewed before Damascus History Foundation on Wikipedia.
The Damascus History Foundation was established in 2016 and aims to preserve the memory of Damascus by searching for old photos, movies, audio, prints and personality papers, unpublished notes, old books, manuscripts, and private official correspondence related to this city and collected in an electronic museum to be at the disposal of those interested and researchers about Damascene contemporary history.
