Harvesting 25 thousand hectares cultivated with lentils in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA- The areas cultivated with lentil crops harvested by farmers in Hasaka Province until today have reached 25 thousand hectares distributed among different areas of agricultural stability.

Director of Hasaka’s agriculture, Eng. Ragab Salama, told SANA reporter that the harvested areas planted with lentils distributed on 23500 hectares in addition to 1670 hectares from the total irrigated area of2100 hectares

He pointed out that the average production per hectare of lentil crop of the current season reached 1100 kg.

The production of Hasaka’s farmers from lentils is marketed in local markets and to other governorates.
