Damascus, SANA-The difficult circumstances, that have passed through Syria during the past period due to the precautionary measures taken by the government to confront coronavirus, have not been an obstacle in front industrial cities to go on in their works and their productive and investment activities.
Director of Cites’ and Industrial Zones at the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, Ali Bilal, told SANA that the production activities continued to operate at high levels in the industrial city of Adra during the past three months to secure markets requirements of products for which demand has risen as a result of the measures taken to confront the coronavirus.

He added that 11 new industrial sections were specified since the begging of this year, and license was given to 13 parts for construction, while new facilities started production, providing 215 new jobs opportunities.
Engineer Bilal went on to say that the volume of investment attracted in the city reached at 1615 million SYP and the amount of the spending investment reached 280 million SYP during the year 2020.
The industrial city in Sheikh Najjar in Aleppo has witnessed an active labor movement in turn during the last period, and new facilities entered the work and production in the food and chemical sectors with increased production capacity to meet the requirements of the local market, he added.
