Plane transporting 250 Syrians from UAE arrives in Damascus International Airport

 Damascus, SANA- A Syrian Airlines plane carrying 250 Syrians who had been stranded abroad on Tuesday evening arrived at Damascus International Airport, coming from Sharjah Airport in the UAE.

The step came in light of the decisions of the governmental team tasked with taking the required measures to tackle the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

The Health Ministry transported the passengers on board private buses to Damascus International Airport Hotel and the University City after measuring their temperatures and registering their data.

In a statement to SANA, Dr. Hazar Raef said that the quarantine centers are fully equipped to provide all the proper accommodation services for the passengers, in addition to a supervising health care for them through a specialized medical team which will provide medical and investigative services for them around the clock.

Raef noted that the team will take nasal, pharyngeal and oral swabs from residents of the quarantine centers and send them to the laboratories designated by the Health Ministry for Coronavirus analysis to find out whether they are infected or not with the virus.

She added that the passengers will be kept / 14 / days at the quarantine centers to ensure that they are not infected with the Coronavirus, as during this period they will be provided with all the necessary medical services to investigate any infection and detect them early and provide appropriate treatment in the specialized centers,.

She pointed out that the goal of the quarantine is to ensure the safety individuals who should be separated from their families and society for ensuring their safety.
