Damascus, SANA-Father Elias Zahlawi joined the NGOs, civil society and Syrian figures in the campaign of “Lift Siege on Syria” which calls for the lifting of the coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people, particularly in regards to health sector in light of coronavirus spread in the world.
“I am with all that help Syria get rid of an unjust war and the so-called economic sanctions,” father zahlawi said in a statement to SANA.
He called on all Oriental churches in the US to follow the example of Syrian, Damascene Patriarch, Yousef al-Tawil, and unify their word to have a decision that puts an end to the unjust war on Syria and lift the so-called “sanctions.”
Father Zahlawi saluted the civil society and its important campaign to raise the sound to the UN, adding that the western countries are subjected to a power that imposes its plots and will on all, and they implement the orders of this power.
