Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Ministry affirmed on Thursday that Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries of terrorists are continuing their criminal practices against civilians in Hasaka and the surrounding residential compounds through cutting off drinking water for the third day.
“Turkish occupation forces and affiliated terrorists cut off drinking water from Allouk water station and the feeding wells deliberately and systematically, depriving more than 600 thousand Syrian citizens, the majority of them are women and children, from the drinking water,” the Ministry said in two letters sent to UN Secretary General and President of Security council.
In this regard, the letters pointed out that the Turkish regime, in last October, shelled Allouk water station during its brutal aggression on Syria’s territories, causing it to stop out of service, adding that the Foreign Ministry presented a briefing to the UN Security Council, on February 27th, that the Turkish occupation deprived the civilians in Hasaka from water.
“But unfortunately the Security Council, the General Secretariat or the relevant international organizations didn’t move to condemn the Turkish occupation’s bombing of that vital civil facility or to condemn the Turkish occupation’s usage of water as an arm against civilians,”the Ministry added.
The two letters, by the name of the Syrian Arab Republic, called on UN security council to condemn the crimes of the Turkish regime and oblige it to stop its violation of the international law and the International Humanitarian law and to end its occupation of the Syrian territories and stop its support to the terrorist groups.
