Damascus, SANA-National delegation at the Constitutional Committee affirmed that since the end of the 2nd round of the small committee’ work, two proposals have been submitted to the UN Special envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, to specify an agenda for the works of the committee in order to hold a new session according to the list of procedures which was rejected by the Turkish regime delegation without any reason.
“Since the end of the 2nd round of the small committee’ work on November 29th, 2019, and in order to achieve a tangible progress and overcome obstacles for holding a new session, the national delegation submitted to UN Special envoy for Syria two proposals to specify an agenda for the works of the committee which were rejected by the Turkish regime delegation without any reason,” A statement by the delegation said on Wednesday.
It added that the National delegation, while expresses astonishment of the unconstructive stances adopted by the Turkish regime delegation in rejecting the proposals without any reasons that led to the suspension of holding the 3rd session, it affirms determination to continue work in a positive way to hold the 3rd round, and this pushed the delegation to submit a new agenda to deputy Special envoy in Damascus on March 17th,2020.
