New preventive measures to face Coronavirus: No confirmed infections until now in Syria

Damascus, SANSA- In the framework of preventive measures to confront Coronavirus, reduce chances of infection, the government decided to close citizen service centers in all governorates, public parks, cinemas, theaters, nightclubs, wedding and condolence halls.

Minister of Health, Nizar Yazaji said on Tuesday that the new measures also covered the closure of sport clubs, children’s clubs, children’s game halls, and internet cafes.

In a relevant context, the Minister affirmed that no confirmed Coronavirus infections have been registered in Syria until today.

He revealed there are 134 Syrian passengers at the quarantine medical center in al-Dwair area in Damascus countryside, adding that they came from countries that have recorded many cases of the virus, and they will stay for 14 days there to ensure their medical status.
