Cabinet approves comprehensive plan for development in various sectors in Aleppo

Aleppo, SANA – The Cabinet held its weekly session on Saturday chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis in Aleppo, during which it approved an integrated economic, services, and construction plan for Aleppo province, allocating SYP 145 billion for it.

The economic development plan in the field of agriculture included expanding poultry and cattle farms projects and relaunching the ICARDA project with a budget of SYP 10 million, while in the industry sector the Cabinet approved a plan for rehabilitating the tractors, batteries, yeast, and dairy factories along with the iron smelting furnaces at a cost of SYP 8 billion.

In the petroleum sector, the Cabinet approved a plan to increase production and storage capacities of gas production units with a cost of SYP 1 billion, in addition to the Electricity Ministry’s plan for improving and increasing the output of electric power in the industrial zones.

The Council also approved also the Education Ministry’s plan for the rehabilitation and restoration of 206 schools at a cost SYP 5 billion, as well as approving the complete renovation of Aleppo Citadel and the rehabilitation of 19 health centers.

In the housing field, the Cabinet approved a plan to renovate damaged housing units at a cost of SYP 1.2 billion.

The Cabinet also approved on Interior Ministry’s’ plan to provide police units in liberated areas, in addition to providing facilitations to the industrialists who install imported production lines and machinery for their facilities.
