Aleppo, SANA – The locals of Ayn al-Arab made new progress on the ground in city ,chasing away terrorists from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) from several buildings in the city center.
Local sources said that national defense units carried out a special operation on Tuesday in the surroundings of Municipality in Ayn al-Arab’s city center, assuming control of six buildings that the terrorists were holed up in.
The sources said that 13 terrorists were killed during the operation, one day after 18 of them were killed in clashes elsewhere in the city during which national defense units seized a large amount of weapons and ammo including RPG shells, light weapons, hunting weapons, and thousands of bullets for heavy machineguns.
Heavy clashes between locals and terrorists continue in the southern and eastern parts of the city, as ISIS terrorists are making futile attempts at taking control of the city.
The city of Ayn al-Arab has been witnessing heavy fighting since the half of September, with its people inflecting heavy losses upon the attacking ISIS terrorists.
