Two Russian universities work on developing a vaccine against coronavirus

Moscow, SANA- Head of the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare Anna Popova has announced that two Russian universities has been working on developing a vaccine against the new coronavirus.

Interviewed by Russia 1 TV, Popova said “The vaccine has been developed at two institutes at the same time,” indicating at the same time that there is no specific date for performing the task, but what is important today is to take all the precautionary measures.

She added that her country is exerting all possible efforts to contain the virus and to prevent its outbreak in case it reached the country.

The outbreak of coronavirus, which sparked panic in China, has accelerated as new cases have been registered outside China including those in the U.S., Japan and Thailand, in a time when many countries have rushed to take many precautionary measures through which they hope to prevent the coronavirus from reaching their territories.
