Rainy weather prevails across the country, snow over the mountains and in Sweida

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures remain from 2 to 5 degrees lower than average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a wet and cold air mass.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to rainy sometimes, snow is expected over the mountains over 1400 meters highest, warning against frost at night over the mountains and the formation of fog over the mountains and some inlands areas.

The winds will be northwestern between low to moderate in speed, while the sea waves will be high to medium in amplitude.

Rain amounts according to the rain bulletin issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform are as follows in the Syrian provinces during the past 24 hours: 65,5mm in Damascus,66mm in Sweida, 97mm in Quneitra, 90mm in Hama, 76mm in Tartous, 70mm in Lattakia and 17mm in Aleppo.

The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities are as follows: Damascus 09/04, Daraa 09/04, Homs 11/03, Hasaka 09/05, Lattakia 16/10, Aleppo 11/03 and Deir Ezzor 13/05.

In Sweida, rain and snow fell last night with a snow depth reached 15cm in Thaher al-Jabal. Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior issued Friday a list of the road conditions in Sweida due to the current weather in the country as follows till this morning: all the roads in the province are passable except al-Mshanaf-thaher al-Jabal and all the roads leading to al-Mashanaf and its villages and to Salkhad and alMkawas-Thaher al-Jabal are closed due to the accumulation of snow.
