Rome, SANA_ Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed with the UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen the situation in Syria and the need to continue the intra-Syrian dialogue without any external interference.
“A common opinion was expressed on contributing to a sustainable and fruitful dialogue between Syrians without outside interference,” Sputnik news agency quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement on Friday.
“Opinions about developments related to the Committee of Discussing the Constitution after its launch and the results of the last two sessions in Geneva as well as the issue of holding another international meeting on Syria in Astana formula on December 10-11 in Norsultan were also discussed.” The statement said.
