Daraa, SANA-Daraa Governorate on Sunday distributed humanitarian aid among the neediest families and the families of the martyrs and the injured in Alkin town in Daraa northern countryside provided by the Russian Government meanwhile the Syrian Arab Red Crescent distributed a new batch of food aid in seven towns in the province.
Representative of the Russian Coordination Center, in a press statement, underlined the deep-rootedness of the Russian-Syrian relations, affirming that Russia will continue to provide aid to the Syrian people, particularly to the families which have been affected by terrorism.
Representative of the Russian Charitable Association of the Martyr Ahmad Kadyrov, for his part said that the aid provided to the Syrian people who have been affected by terrorism reflect the strong relations binding the Russian and Syrian people and express the support to the steadfastness of the Syrian people in the face of terrorism.
Director of Social Affairs and Labor Department in Daraa Nibal Al-Hariri said that the provided aid consists of 1500 baskets were distributed among the neediest families and the families of the martyrs and the wounded.
Al-Hariri expressed thanks for the Russian leadership and people for the aid they provide to the Syrian people which has contributed to Syria’s victory over terrorism and its backers.
In the same context, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC)- Daraa Branch on Sunday distributed a new batch of humanitarian aid provided by the World Food Program (WFP) among the neediest locals in seven towns in the countryside of the province.
Head of SARC Branch in Daraa Ahmed al-Masalmeh told SANA reporter that the convoy consists of 14 trucks which delivered food aid, flour bags and an amount of food supplements to seven towns.
Al-Masalmeh indicated that the number of families which benefited from the aid reached up to 9,500.
On November 18th, SARC delivered a convoy of humanitarian aid which consisted of 10 trucks laden with 6,050 food baskets to the towns of Atman and Khirbet Ghazala.
