Russia condemns Israeli missile strikes on Syria, as a violation of international law

Moscow, SANA- The Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday condemned the Israeli missile strikes on the Syrian territories, as an act that contradicts with the international law.

Russia’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said, in statements to journalists, that “striking the territory of a sovereign state is completely contrary to the principles of international law and leads to an escalation of tensions”, stressing that “this action is wrong.”

“We are, of course, in contact with all our partners, finding out the circumstances,” Bogdanov added.

The Air Defenses at the Syrian Arab Army, after midnight, foiled an intensive Israeli missile assault that targeted the outskirts of Damascus, and destroyed most of the missiles before reaching their targets while two civilians were martyred and others were injured due to the aggression.
