Geneva, SANA-Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov affirmed on Tuesday that foreign Ministers of guarantor states, Russia, Iran and Turkey, renewed their commitment to Syria’s unity and safety of its territories.
“The guarantor states stress that the work of the committee of discussing the constitution should be done away from any foreign intervention or imposing deadlines,” Lavrov said at a press conference in Geneva.
He added that any use of natural resources of a country is unjustified, and Washington should adhere to this issue.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, said that there is no military solution to the crisis in Syria, adding that beginning the work of the committee of discussing the constitution is a step on the way of the political solution to the crisis.
He affirmed that only the Syrians would determine the future of their country away from any foreign intervention.
Zarif added that the guarantor states of Astana process should guarantee non-intervention in the work of the committee of discussing the constitution.
