Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become lower than average in most areas as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a relatively cold and wet air mass.
Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy in general and thundershowers will fall, particularly over the coastal, northwestern and al-Jazeera areas and they will be heavy and accompanied by thunder sometimes, warning against fog over the mountains and some inland areas.
The wind will be westerly to northwesterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.
Different amounts have been registered in different Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Tartous 62 mm, Lattakia 38 mm, Homs 17 mm, Homs 17 mm, Hama 15mm, Aleppo 18 mm, Quneitra 8 mm, Daraa 15 mm, Idleb 12 mm, Raqqa 9mm, and Hasaka 6 mm.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 24/14, Daraa 22/15, Homs 17/13, Hasaka 23/13, Lattakia 23/15, Aleppo 24/13 and Deir Ezzor 25/14.
